![]() ![]() Whether it returns or not is up to the team, but they're probably a bit too busy to think about it at the moment I think the Exo demo is probably one of the better ones, being that it just gives you a bit of a kickoff to get excited about it and introduce a lot of the characters and mechanics! I definitely don't want to say that demos don't work, more that they have weirdly unreliable results from one game to another. Demos are decently good at getting people to wishlist games on Steam, which is definitely helpful in a lot of ways, but doesn't actually translate reliably into sales. ![]() Most people aren't even aware of the effect, it's more passive than active. ![]() There's also been a lot of analysis that's shown that availability of demos tends to discourage a lot of people from getting the full game, even if they really enjoyed the demo, as they subconsciously feel like they've already seen what it has to offer. They might have bugs and issues that'd discourage people from buying, they tend to be made in a hurry or much less frequently-updated, and as development continues making save files from demos carry over can get more and more difficult, for example.
